Who it's for

Use cases

  • Apartment hunting

Before viewing a listing, see the objective values. Skip the trip to apartments with north exposure, poor public transport, or no pharmacy in the neighbourhood.

  • Home purchase · Decision

Taxes + health insurance + electricity prices add up to tens of thousands of CHF over the years of ownership. The dossier calculates these three plus commute time precisely for your case.

  • Relocation to Switzerland

You don't yet know your target region in detail. Ubivo gives you sober facts per address — what would otherwise take you a long time to research in a country with 26 cantons.

  • Families · Retirees

Persona lenses weight playground, primary school, hospital, pharmacy and safety according to your situation. Factor values stay objective; only the weighting adapts.

  • New-build flat · Tower floor

Listing says "sunny, quiet"? Drop a marker on the map and pick your floor — you see the real values per storey for noise, air and sunlight. For large developments with transparent caveat about neighbouring buildings not yet recorded.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does Ubivo cost?

The standard report is free and complete — all 61 factors with objective values and persona lenses. Only if you want to personalise the cost factors (commute time, taxes, health insurance, electricity) for your situation does a report cost a one-off CHF 19 (Quick Check for apartment hunting) or CHF 79 (Dossier for purchase decision). No subscription. Access to a paid report is valid for 6 months. All prices incl. VAT.

Do I need an account?

No — you can read reports anonymously. An account is only needed to save addresses, store profiles or buy a Quick Check or Dossier. Anonymous queries aren't linked to account data; the IP is only held transiently in memory for rate limiting (no persistent storage) and removed once the time window expires.

Where do the data come from?

Exclusively from official Swiss Open Data sources: swisstopo, FSO, FOEN, FOPH, ARE, FTA, ElCom, OFCOM, MeteoSwiss, Copernicus CAMS, Open-Meteo, transport.opendata.ch and OpenStreetMap. Every value carries its source, date and reliability — no black box.

What is a persona lens?

A weighting preset for your life situation. For "Family", school, playground, safety and amenities are weighted more strongly; for "Commuter", public transport access and commute time dominate. Factor values stay objectively identical across all lenses — only the weighted overall score (LQS) shifts.

Why does the wealth tax have no score?

Swiss taxes are often progressive — the rate climbs with wealth, differently per canton. A single-number estimate would be a black box: technically plausible, materially misleading. Ubivo shows these factors as "Context" — with the real multipliers and tariff type — and links to the official FTA tax calculator for the exact calculation. Swiss precision rather than estimated guesswork.

Does Ubivo rate an address?

No. Ubivo provides objective data and persona-weighted aggregates — you do the rating. A rural address near a farm is a plus for a city escapee, a minus for an allergy sufferer. Ubivo shows the values, you decide.

Who's behind Ubivo?

Ubivo is a solo-founder project from Switzerland. All user data is hosted in a Swiss data centre (HostBott, Untervaz GR); no advertising, no data sharing. Details in the imprint and privacy policy.
