How Ubivo computes
The LQS living-quality score is not a black box. Here’s in plain words how it is built — and where we choose honesty over impressiveness.
The LQS in one sentence
A weighted, reliability-adjusted average of all measurable factors, normalised to 0–100. No single factor wins alone; each counts as far as its data allows.
Unknown, not guessed
If a factor lacks a reliable source, we show “unknown” — and it does NOT enter the score. We never invent a value to fill a gap. A report with honest gaps is worth more than one with fabricated completeness.
Reliability per value
Every factor carries a reliability: measured point-precise (e.g. sunlight hours via a terrain model) counts more than regionally modelled (e.g. cantonal averages). The score weights accordingly — and the report shows the reliability of each value.
No score when data is too thin
If too few factors are reliable for an address, we deliberately give NO LQS rather than fake a number. Better no judgement than a bad one.
Your lens changes the weighting — never the values
If you pick a persona (family, commuter …), only the WEIGHTS by which factors count shift. The measured values stay objective and unchanged. Ubivo does not judge the address — it shows you the facts by your priorities.
Where the data comes from
Exclusively official and open Swiss sources (swisstopo, FOEN, FSO, FTA, MeteoSwiss/Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, etc.). Source and date are shown on every single value.
